FARMA is proud to present our new professional lumber trailer, the T 16 4 WD in the Generation 2 range. It has an entirely new and innovative design to satisfy its audience. A trailer like no other on the market, primarily due to the trailer's frame, which comprises an octagonal, bent centre profile which means that the flat surfaces are smaller and that the frame can consequently resist impacts better than a normal rectangular profile. Quite simply it has been made more impact-resistant.
As a result of the shape of the frame with its angled surfaces, the trailer also "deflects" e.g. stumps that you happen to drive over. There are many advantages, not all of them visible. The trailer is equipped with double trailer steering cylinders to achieve an even torsion force on the tow bar. A folding railing increases accessibility behind the trailer and contributes to better visibility. The front bank is adjustable. The lumber trailer offers good ground clearance because it is equipped with 600/50x22.5 wheels as standard, and it has an octagonal centre frame, the underside of which is 600 mm above the ground. Hydraulic trailer movement is included as standard. The wide trailer provides increased stability when driving. The tractive force in the cage drive is among the best on the market, and provides the tractor with useful additional tractive force.
At the trade fair, the T 16 4 WD is presented together with the C 8.5 crane, which is part of the FARMA Generation 2 range. The C 8.5 is a modern crane with a link arm system. Thanks to its design, the crane offers the very best close range properties, a more even operation and an outer arm that is equally powerful through the working range. The C 8.5 is our largest crane with a double telescopic extension totalling 3 m, which means that you can reach items that shorter cranes cannot.
The vital parts of the lumber trailer that may be exposed to significant wear are made of high-strength steel to ensure a more secure purchase.
